How safe is Renuva?

Question

I have fat loss from Alma Clear Lift laser. I met with a fat graft expert whom said I need a little bit of fat placed everywhere across my lower face & neck. He said fat grafts would not help in my case. How safe is this product? I'm a little scared of unknown long term side affects that may appear years later down the road but I am desperate for a permanent solution. I'd like to know what the professionals truly think about this new ground breaking product. Would you try it if you needed it?

Your question is a bit confusing. Do you states that you met a fat grafting specialist who said you needed fat grafted to the lower part of your face but then also said that fat grafting is not possible?

Renuva has not had great outcomes and overall has been met with fairly low enthusiasm based on what I can tell.

I suggest having multiple in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons. Fillers will probably the best and easiest in regards to restoring volume but fat transfer may be an option and remove maybe one but I would keep my expectations on the low side.

It’s a pretty safe treatment.  The product itself is the structural matrix supporting fat cells harvested from cadavers.

Renuva is an extraordinary treatment to replenish age-related volume loss in the face, hands, neck and other body areas. It's extremely safe – Renuva is regulated by the FDA and has passed rigorous safety testing.  One of the benefits a lot of my patients love about Renuva is that it requires no surgery, so there's no downtime because there's no anesthesia or liposuction. It's injected right in my office and my patients are back to their regular activities in about a day.  When injected, Renuva creates a honeycomb-like matrix that is replaced with your body's own fat. Over the course of three months post-treatment, the Renuva matrix dissolves, leaving only your body's own fat behind. The fat lasts as long as the patient's fat cells would normally live, which varies from person to person. Several published studies report that fat cells live up to 10 years or more.
