Is this yellow dry crust/mucus that I get every day normal, specially in the morning at 9 month post-op? (photos)

I had Rhinoplasty/Septoplasty 9 months ago and since 3 month ago I started getting this yellow crust inside my nose. I already went to see my surgeon 2 times but he keeps saying everything is ok but then why I get this crust everyday? my nose feels really dry and tight inside and sometimes I have discomfort after blowing my nose. I know some crusting is normal but is it normal every single day. I am just worry this crust could cause a septum perforation.

Dear willy24although crusting in the early post rhinoplasty period is common, it is unusual at 9 months after surgery. Although you should discuss with your surgeon, I would consider treatment with nasal saline spray, humidifier and a month course of nasal steroid spray to break the inflammatory cycle.

Dear willy24, No this is not normal and you need to be treated by your surgeon right away. First and foremost a saline spray should be ordered to help with the dryness. You may need topical and oral antibiotics, and steroid spray?? this will be determined at examination. If your surgeon continues to tell you this is normal I suggest a second opinion.
