Will swimming in chlorine everyday mess up the effects of Halo? How long should I wait after treatment to start swimming?
Answer: Swimming after Halo, emeragecosmetics post ablative laser package, emerageskin hyla-b, refit face/eye, anteagemd you should wait 1-2 weeks after peeling before submerging in water and you need aerify kit and growth factors post halo to ensure you kepe the results and maintain the results (see link). dermarolling weekly should start at the same time. Answer: A week There are 2 concerns I would have with your question. #1 is the effect of sunlight while swimming. Direct, unprotected, sun exposure after halo can lead to hyperpigmentation. It will resolve, but is not an intended consequence of Halo. I suggest strict sun avoidance for 2 weeks after treatment. #2 is that Halo makes ablative injuries to the skin which makes your skin more sensitive and can allow for infection. These injuries are healed enough to tolerate makeup and things in 48 hours, but for pool water Id want a week. Hope this helps

Answer: Pool after Halo You will want to avoid the sun and a chlorine pool until you are fully healed from your Halo treatment. Once you are healed, make sure to apply waterproof broad spectrum sunscreen at least 15 minutes before sun-exposure and swimming. Chlorine protects you from the harmful bacteria that can grow in swimming pools, but soaking in it for too long may dry out your skin. The acid formed when chlorine contacts water is a natural irritant to the skin. It also can strip the natural oils from the skin, causing dry, itchy, and irritated skin. Rinse skin immediately with fresh water and clean the skin with a gentle cleanser. Finish with a hydrating moisturizer. We recommend Alastin Ultra Nourishing Moisturizer with TriHex Technology. Always talk with your Laser Technician in depth before you are treated with Halo

Answer: Swimming after Halo There is no reason you cannot return to swimming once fully healed from your Halo laser treatment. We advise patients to avoid skin irritants on the treated area for one month after Halo. After one month you should be able to safely swim again. However let your skin be your guide if your skin becomes irritated you may need to wait longer.
