Halo laser as good or better than CO2 Fraxel laser?

Question

Is Halo laser better than CO2 fraxel laser? I've read that CO2 can and does kill precancerous skin cells and does actually help skin cancer cells and destroying those skin cells when diagnosed with it. Does halo laser do the same thing or is that just CO2? Should you do a series of halo or do it only once every year or every 2-3 years as upkeep? Does halo help lift skin and what are all other benefits that come from it? How long to avoid all sun after treatment and how long with healing time?

halo and co2 are completely different. I suggest you talk to someone with experience, I have over 80 lasers and we set long term treatment plans for clients. I do myself halo every 3 months and co2 once a year.  morpheus every 2-3 months and facials every month.  I do at home cosmelan and enlighten epeels every 2-3 months too.  alternating or right before lasers.  Please see an expert to customize a plan and do an at home peel (see link) now while you have the time.  Best, Dr. Emer.

HALO and the CO2 laser are 2 different treatments. They are both resurfacing but the CO2 goes deeper (full ablative) and the downtime can be quite extensive. HALO has ablative and non-ablative wavelengths and only 5-7 days of social down time. If you are concerned about skin cancer you should be treated by a dermatologist. We recommend a series of 2 HALO treatments 6-8 weeks apart and one maintenance treatment every year to continue to stimulate collagen and elastin and maintain that healthy glow. Sun exposure is not recommended before or after treatment.
