Had DI NIPPLE GRAPH FTM top surgery I am officially 4 weeks today, I have been changing my bandage twice a day and gently washing the area as instructed, but I’ve not been told if my nipple graph has failed, it has an odor and definitely infected. Do you think it is failing?

Dear priincep, Thank you for your question and congratulations on your operation. As of right now, it appears that your wound healing is normal. However, if you are having concerns I suggest following up with your Board Certified Operating Surgeon. Best of luck to you.
Hi,Thanks for the post and photos. It does not look like necrosis in the photos. It looks like the top layer of the areolar graft that has yet to shed off. That being said, if you notice that it is getting dark or spreading, then contact your plastic surgeon.Sincerely,Dr. Dadvand
