Electrodessication/cautery for treatment of fine (1-2 mm) telangiectasias under eyes/cheeks WORSENED drastically. Now what?

What are my options for telangiectasias that were dilated/worsened by hyfrecator/cautery. I have Fair skin, very fine telangiectasias on thin skin under eyes and on cheeks.Vessels were 1-2 mm or pinpoints.They're WORSE than before, as if the collapse of one part of the vessel maximally dilated others and NEW ones at the periphery AFTER the procedure (new tendrils appeared). I am so disheartened/regretful and would appreciate honest opinions and options. What do I pursue now?Veingogh? Vbeam?

Thank you for your question and I am sorry you didn’t receive satisfactory results from your first treatment. Once your skin has healed fully, I recommend scheduling an appointment with a board-certified dermatologist who has expertise in treating facial veins. In my practice, I have had very good results with the Vbeam, a vascular laser designed to target the blood inside the visible vessels without damaging surrounding skin and tissue. With a qualified provider and a customized treatment plan, I believe you could see much better results the next time around.

In our office, we have several treatments that can help improve common vascular skin issues, including rosacea, post-inflammatory erythema, red scars, facial blushing, and spider veins. The Vbeam laser continues to be the gold standard for redness, including rosacea and post-inflammatory erythema. In some cases, we add Venus Viva RF coagulation to help improve redness on the skin from spider veins, inflammation, and rosacea. 
  
Generally, several sessions are required to improve redness on the skin. Vbeam laser, IPL Limelight, and Venus Viva all work very well with minimal downtime. 
  
Patients with rosacea may benefit from topical creams to help soothe inflamed skin. We recommend Elevase Moisture Booster. For Post-inflammatory erythema, Plato’s Scar Serum is recommended twice daily.

there is a reason vascular lasers exist, its because cautery is not the gold standard treatment anymore for fine vessels. I suggest seeing a laser expert.  Best, Dr. Emer.
