Will a chin implant help move the part of the chin underneath the lower lip forward as well?

My lower jaw is a little bit weak/receded, and I know a genioplasty would give me the results I desire, but it's too invasive for my taste. I worry the chin implant will only expand the tip of my chin and not the area above it, from my lower lip, down.
