What's the difference between aftercare of Kybella and Celluform Plus. Had CP done 3 days ago and not sure if I should massage?

I can’t find any information regarding aftercare for celluform plus. I was told its the same as kybella just FDA approved in the UK first. I had my first treatment 3 days ago, and my aesthetician told me to massage the area in a draining motion. However the after care advice for kybella seems to be the opposite, to not massage at all. I was wondering if I should or shouldn’t massage? I’m quite swollen still & i’m paranoid about touching the area too much.

Thank you for your question! After your Kybella treatment, you should expect swelling and redness. You may also experience bruising, pain, numbness, and induration (firmness). This will normally last less than 5 days, and for some patients may last up to 14 days. You may have slight swelling of the area for up to a month. You can apply ice in the first 48 hours to help with the swelling and discomfort.  It is important to not place ice directly on the skin.  Use an ice pack with the fabric side facing the skin or you may wrap the ice pack in a thin cloth.  Apply ice for 2 minutes on, 2 minutes off.  Icing too vigorously can damage the skin and be aware that your skin may be numb so you may not feel the normal sensation when the skin has gotten too cold. Avoid strenuous activity for 3 days after your treatment. Sleep with your head elevated for the 3 nights after your treatment to help minimize swelling. Do not scratch, pick at, massage or manipulate the treatment area. You may apply your normal skin care regimen to the area, including cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen etc.  There is no need to wear bandages to the area. And Celluform Plus consists of deoxycholic acid solution (10 mg/l) and soothing, anti-erythema Arnica montana extract. The acid melts fat cells and in the same time melts the fat inside them, also causes skin rebuilding, which results with lift, biostimulating effect and also chin fat disappearing. In addition it causes skin cells metabolism and microcirculation improvement, also stimulates skin regeneration. Arnica active elements such as flavonoids, triterpenes, sesquiterpenes lactones  and ethereal oils, act as antiinflammatory, antigerm, painkillers and blood circulation stimulators. Furthermore, beside decreasing of pain, it accelerates bruises resorption. After substance injection, fat cells are damaged and crumble, eliminating fat. The procedurę last appr. 30 minutes. Selected skin area is anaesthezied  and injected without pain, with using very thin needle. The results are visible just after first session, but the number of sessions depends on fat amount. Side effects, such as small bruises, redness or swelling, disappear after max. 5 days. Best of luck!
