Lumps and hard spots can develop after Kybella injection. They usually improve with time, massage, and will also improve after topical RF treatment, such as Thermismooth. It is my practice to wait until these hard areas resolve to perform another treatment.
It can take several months for lumps and swelling to resolve after Kybella. I recommend following up with your Doctor about the recommended time-line. I hope this helps.
I suggest you get this treated before further treatments. See an expert RF treatments, mesotherapy, and massage help. Best, Dr. Emer.
Thank you for your question. Nodules following Kybella are part of the inflammatory process of the fat destruction. They can resolve over weeks to months. Treatment with acoustic wave therapy such as Z wave by Zimmer may hasten their breakdown.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
How many treatments are these nodules left after? Kybella in nearly always, if not always, used in a series of injections spaced apart by around 4 or more weeks. The fat will not always dissolve uniformly and thus some "nodules" will be left at times which can be easily addressed at the next injection.
Dear ravenortiz:In my experience, the rare areas of firmness that sometime develop after Kybella do completely resolve. They may be more likely if Kybella is not injected in a completely uniform manner, 0.2 ml every square centimeter. There is no reason to delay another treatment if this occurs. All the best, Dr. Clark
Hi rayenortiz, Lumps or nodularities may form as fat hardens and breaks up prior to getting dissolved. Kybella requires patience since it may be months before that lumpiness (either felt or obvious) disappears. Your doctor can tell whether you could proceed with the next injection. All the best, Justin Harper, M.D.
Based on your photos I do not feel Kybella would help you. You would best be served by a skin tightening procedure, either non-surgical (ThermiTight) or surgical (neck lift). Hope this helps.
Yes, you can combine Kybella with other treatments. I recommend waiting 6 weeks, as swelling resolves. I hope this helps.
Kybella is a good alternative to liposuction while CoolSculpting is good in certain situations as well. You would be best to see a dermatologist to see if these are options for you and they can feel the area and see if your anatomy is better for one or the other. Good luck!
It is expensive and requires many sessions to make a difference. Look no further than the study that was the basis for its FDA approval. Investigators could offer up to 6 treatment sessions at one month intervals to achieve patient satisfaction. Approximately 60% of patients requires all 6 se...
Both Kybella or neck liposuction are good options and will improve the double chin. Chin filler or implants can improve projection. It depends on your lifestyle and personality which would be better for you. Kybella is best for patients that: 1) Do not want surgery 2) Are not surgic...
I do not believe that it is a good idea to consider kybella treatments to the nose. The effects of kybella are difficult to predict and especially in the nose where you need very definite results, kybella would not be a good option. You should seek the consultation of...
