I have many nodules after 7 wks from my first Kybella treatment?

Lumps and hard spots can develop after Kybella injection. They usually improve with time, massage, and will also improve after topical RF treatment, such as Thermismooth. It is my practice to wait until these hard areas resolve to perform another treatment. 

It can take several months for lumps and swelling to resolve after Kybella. I recommend following up with your Doctor about the recommended time-line. I hope this helps.

Thank you for your question. Nodules following Kybella are part of the inflammatory process of the fat destruction. They can resolve over weeks to months. Treatment with acoustic wave therapy such as Z wave by Zimmer may hasten their breakdown.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.

How many treatments are these nodules left after?  Kybella in nearly always, if not always, used in a series of injections spaced apart by around 4 or more weeks.  The fat will not always dissolve uniformly and thus some "nodules" will be left at times which can be easily addressed at the next injection.

Dear ravenortiz:In my experience, the rare areas of firmness that sometime develop after Kybella do completely resolve. They may be more likely if Kybella is not injected in a completely uniform manner, 0.2 ml every square centimeter. Hi rayenortiz, Lumps or nodularities may form as fat hardens and breaks up prior to getting dissolved. Kybella requires patience since it may be months before that lumpiness (either felt or obvious) disappears.
