How do Profound RF and Sylfirm RF compare for skin tightening on legs?

These two technologies use radiofrequency energy to create skin tightening. There are subtle differences but used by the right person who knows how to use there machine any of these should be fine. The key is also to determine if the leg issue you havre is suitable.
We prefer Morpheus 8 for these office procedures.

There are definite differences between the two treatments. The most important difference is that Profound is the only long pulsed RF energy device on the market and uses insulated micro needles to penetrate the skin at angle to a depth of approximately 1.5 mm (mid-deep dermis) The long pulsed energy delivery induces both Elastin and collagen creating a tighter and more elastic skin than short pulsed RF energy delivering devices such as Sylfirm. Profound is an excellent choice for most body parts. Body parts have a larger treatment area than the face for which Profound is typically used, and require experience in diluting the local anesthetic in order to adequately anesthetize the entire treatment area, Profound requires some patience to see the results. Although patients can start to see some results after a few weeks, typically collagen is produced after 30 days and elastin beginning at 6 weeks. Good results can be seen at 3 months with the best results at 6 months following treatment.
Profound results typically last 4-5 years as opposed to 1-2 years with Sylfirm. The limiting factor of the Profound treatment depends on the experience of the provider to dilute the local anesthetic just enough to be able to anesthetize the entire treatment area, as using the Profound device once learned is fairly straight forward.
