Hi there, I had an appointment booked for a Profound RF treatment in November which I already paid for partially as it was a great deal (50 per cent discount) then was offered a great deal on 3 morpheus8 treatments by another doctor. Can I do both? Is there any value to doing both or is it overkill/not necessary?
Answer: Combination of Morpheus8 and Profound? Englewood Cliffs NJ Combining Profound RF (radiofrequency) and Morpheus8 treatments over a 4-month period can be safe and effective, but it requires careful planning and professional oversight and is not ideal.. Both treatments use radiofrequency technology to stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture, but they target different layers and aspects of the skin. Your provider will help develop a timeline that ensures there is enough recovery time between treatments. Extending the timeframe would be helpful. Typically, there should be at least several weeks between treatments to allow your skin to heal and respond to the first procedure before undergoing the next. Regular follow-ups with your provider will help monitor your skin's response to the treatments. This is important to adjust the treatment plan if necessary and to address any side effects promptly. Both treatments stimulate collagen and elastin production, which continues to improve the skin over time. Combining them can potentially enhance these effects, but it must be done carefully to avoid over-treating the skin. In summary, combining Profound RF and Morpheus8 treatments over a 4-month period can be safe if done under the guidance of a skilled dermatologist who can tailor the treatments to your specific needs and ensure adequate recovery time between sessions. Answer: Profound vs Morpheus 8 Hello, Profound and Morpheus8 are both Microneedling + Radiofrequency devices but profound pulses are longer, and the temperature is more controlled with it. So profound is more efficient on lifting and tightening of skin and only needs one session of treatment but it can be done only in lower face and upper neck areas. Morpheus 8 is less efficient and needs 3 sessions of treatment, but it can be done on all areas of the face and neck. You should know why you want to do these procedures and what is your expectation. Before purchasing a treatment you need to be visited by an expert to see if you are a good candidate. Your answer is yes , you can do both but you should wait at least 3 months after profound to do Morpheus 8 and again you may not need both and please see an independent expert before starting the procedures. best regareds, Dr Ali Sajjadian

Answer: Profound Expert..Is it safe/beneficial to combine Profound RF and Morpheus8 treatments over 4 months? Hello Thrifty, Yes, there is not any problem in doing Profound RF followed by Morpheus 8 over a 4 month period. Profound RF is a much more aggressive, deeper treatment than M8, with better results. Profound Rf has a longer (1 week) recovery time with swelling and bruising. M8 is more superficial, is quite uncomfortable, and requires multiple treatments for optimal results. As Profound RF is a deeper treatment and M8 treats the skin surface, they may be combined over time without "overkill." Good luck and be well. Michael Persky, MD Encino, CA
