Puffy areas at the sides of my mouth? (photos)

Question

Recently I have been noticing that I have puffiness around my mouth that is quite prominent in certain light. I'm not quite sure how it's happened, am I smiling too much? I have one dimple on the right side of my face.. Does this have any involvement? Just wondered if there is anything I can do to smooth it all out. I'm only 19 so I don't quite know what to do! I've been reading about laser skin tightening treatment, or maybe filler would be better? If so how much and which brand would be best?

This is due to loss of volume in your cheeks and jawline, which is best treated with fillers and/or sculptra.  i suggest seeking the advice of a cosmetic dermatologist with experience in treating men.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Puffiness around the mouth could be from a number of things ranging from loss of fat around that area to overuse of muscles in that area (too much smiling?) or simple jaw/tooth issues.  There will need to be an evaluation of the area to figure out what is happening.  Most of these issues are solvable and my best guess is to see a dermatologist/cosmetic surgeon first to assess what is happening and go from there.  Good luck!
