There is no need to place a warm towel to an area just treated with CoolSculpting. The skin normally does feel cold to the touch for a few minutes after the procedure, and then the skin slowly warms up again. Applying a warm towel is not needed but would not harm anything and some doctors may do this to allow the skin to warm faster.
Hi and thank you for your question! We like to use a warm towel once the cycle is complete and the applicator is removed. It is not required, nor does it have any clinical significance or importance. Our patients do say it feels nice and since the skin has to be cleaned from the residue from the gel pad that is used, it is a nice way to wipe the skin clean before the massage begins.
