It is NOT a required step after Coolsculpting. The reason some offices do this is #1) to help clean the treatment area and #2) to help bring in more blood flow while massaging the tissue, which can help in breaking down the fat following Coolsculpting.
Hello,Thank you for your question. There is no guideline that specifically mentions using a hot towel after a CoolSculpting treatment. The doctor may choose to do this while performing the massage to add a comforting touch, but it is not required, and will not have any negative effects.
No, a warm towel is not needed, but massage is recommended. Keep in mind, for best results with Coolsculpting, a combination approach is needed. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. However, Vaser with ThermiRF procedure is the best combination for a toned result, but requires more downtime. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
There is no need to place a warm towel to an area just treated with CoolSculpting. The skin normally does feel cold to the touch for a few minutes after the procedure, and then the skin slowly warms up again. Applying a warm towel is not needed but would not harm anything and some doctors may do this to allow the skin to warm faster.
Hi and thank you for your question! We like to use a warm towel once the cycle is complete and the applicator is removed. It is not required, nor does it have any clinical significance or importance. Our patients do say it feels nice and since the skin has to be cleaned from the residue from the gel pad that is used, it is a nice way to wipe the skin clean before the massage begins. Applying a warm towel is not necessary after a coolsculpting procedure. If a patient is have some discomfort or cramping after the procedure it is helpful to place heat on the area to treat the discomfort.

From a strict anatomical standpoint, it is probably fine to undergo Coolsculpting of the submental fat excess since it is distinct from the thyroid region. Of course, this assumes you have healed appropriately from the thyroid surgery. Consult a Coolsculpting specialist for specific advice.
Thank you for your question. The best way to maximize the benefits of CoolSculpting is to maintain a healthy diet and exercise regimen. There is evidence that any of the other methods you have mentions would help remove any extra fat. Please talk to your treating physician before taking any...
