Can I have Morpheus8 done if I have titanium plates / screws in the jaw and nose area?

I had a jaw surgery 8 years ago and i have titanium plates and screws implanted beside my nose on each side ( i can feel it under my skin ) and in my jaw, is it contraindicated in this situation?

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately we would not recommend treating face and neck with this treatment with the metal implants you have. Due to the Radio Frequency it is a contraindication.

However, if you have had previous surgeries or have titanium plates or screws in the jaw or nose area, it is important to consult with a qualified medical professional before undergoing any cosmetic procedure. The presence of titanium hardware in the treatment area may affect the approach and technique used during the procedure, as well as the potential risks and complications.
In my clinical practice, I always carefully assess my patient, evaluate the type and location of the titanium implant, the extent of the previous surgery or treatment, and any other pre-existing medical conditions that may affect your suitability for the procedure.
In some cases, I avoid treating the area where the titanium implant is located, or may need to use a different device or technique to avoid interfering with this implant. In other case I adjust the treatment parameters or use a lower energy setting to avoid overheating the titanium and potentially causing damage to the surrounding tissues.
In summary, the presence of titanium plates or screws in the jaw and nose area may not necessarily preclude you from having Morpheus 8 done, but it may affect the treatment approach and technique used by the doctor.

In my opinion, it would be fine to have a Morpheus8 treatment on the face with titanium plates in the jaw and nose areas.  The treatment can be done to only penetrate the skin and not go deeper, so as not to reach the level of the metal plates.
