I have a very long and pointy witch chin when I smile. I’d like to shorten and not make It so pointy . What can be done to correct this? What is the procedure called? What should I look in for a surgeon for do the procedure? Generally how much it cost? (Ballpark)

It appears that your chin is long and prominent and can be corrected with a reduction genioplasty. The surgery will reduce the height of your chin and make it less prominent. A slightly convex profile is considered feminine and attractive. The surgery takes about an hour and is performed with intravenous sedation in the office. There is some swelling but minimal discomfort. It will not change the bite so patients are advised to eat a normal diet even the day of surgery. The recovery from the swelling is about a week.

In this procedure I can modify the height and projection of the chin bone to give it new dimensions that make it look more proportional to the rest of the face.
