What do you advise? I am 56 with fair skin, with a few broken capillaries and roseca.I was told my skin could handle the IPL first since that was the top layer of skin and the micro needling right after which goes deeper. There isn't supposed to be the much down time on the Vivace RF micro needling. Is it too much for the skin to heal from?

It is absolutely fine to have the two procedures done on the same day. In my practice I do the IPL first and the Vivace with microneedling right after.

HI and thanks for your question! 
It sounds like that would be a great combination of treatments for you! In our office, we combine various treatments on the same day, and one of those could be BBL (the newest version of IPL), followed up by Vivace! Combine it with PRP for even more dramatic results! And for even great results, use Alastin Skin Nectar 2 weeks before and 2-4 weeks after treatment!

While it's certainly possible to receive both treatments on the same day, the downtime would be greater than receiving the treatments on different days spaced apart. So it really does depend on your lifestyle and your tolerance for accepting a little more downtime. Generally my patients tend to prefer less downtime, so if they are receiving both IPL and Vivace we will usually schedule the treatments about 2 weeks apart at least. They are both great treatments that, based on your photos, would certainly benefit your skin!
