Would like to rid double chin and lift lower face (Photo)

Question

Hello! I am looking into a mini facelift since I would like something permanent but I can't seem to find photos of people that have done it for around age demographic (28). I don't want to get fillers as it just adds volume to my face. What are the procedures that would work for this type of lift? I want to show more of my natural jaw line underneath the extra skin/ fat. Ty !!!

For a more significant definition around the jawline and neck contours, the anterior necklift procedure also referred to as deep neck lift or short scar necklift is typically able to produce the results.

The principle behind it is reduction in volume of the fatty tissue under the skin in combination with deeper seated fatty tissue as well as reduction of that digastric muscles and submandibular glands which contribute fullness below the level of the jawline. These are features that tend to be associated with hereditary characteristics rather than weight or ageing.

The procedure requires access under the chin and the associated scar measures approximately 3 cm in length.

Because your skin elasticities is very good, there is no need for skin tightening.

I believe you are writing your assessment about avoiding added volume and the way I tend to look at it is that the added volume effectively increases the surface of the lower face and creates the impression that the eyes are slightly smaller. Volume reduction in the lower face and along the jawline tends to produce the impression that the surface of the face is slightly smaller and that the eyes appear slightly larger.

Depends on your skin laxity you might be a candidate for submental (chin) liposuction with facetite (skin tightening) +/- buccal fat removal for contouring the lower face . If you have a profile photos I can tell if you need a chin implant vs fat transfer to the chin /jaw line to enhance the balance .

While you don’t appear to be a candidate for a mini facelift, you would likely benefit from facial liposuction to treat your double chin and create a more sculpted jawline contour. Liposuction is a minimally-invasive procedure that requires only a few days of downtime and does not typically leave any visible scarring behind.

Hello! Based on your one photo you may actually be a good candidate for just neck liposuction in combination w/ Facetite skin tightening. It would be a small incision behind each ear and underneath the chin and would allow for better jaw line contouring as well as eliminate the fat you see underneath your chin. However, I would only perform this procedure in conjunction with skin tightening to make sure that you did not end up with skin laxity. Make sure to discuss all surgical options with your plastic surgeon during your consultation. Good Luck!

With significant neck sagging you would need a facelift / neck lift with muscle tightening (platysmaplasty). I would not recommend the facelift for you at your age. Surgery is not permanent and you will continue to age. I would suggest the noninvasive radiofrequency treatments like Secret with possibly adding the minimally invasive radiofrequency treatment like Renuvion.  Start with Secret for it many do very well for you. You can also boost each year to help control the aging process.

A full set of facial and neck photographs are required from all angles  that are in focus demonstrating the anatomy of your neck. If you're fat deposits in the neck are located above the platysma muscle, liposuction can be effective. When the fat deposits are located below the muscle, a neck lift is required which also includes a platysma-plasty to significantly improve the jawline.
