I had upper and lower blep with an eyebrow lift and ptos repair a year ago. The results are really bad and I would like to know what my options are. This has caused me so much stress and depression.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. From the photos, the main concerns appear to be excessive volume loss, poorly defined upper-eyelid creases, and residual skin excess, particularly on the right. The brows may also be somewhat high and could be contributing to the appearance.Revision options may include liposculpture or fat grafting, repeat upper blepharoplasty with crease refinement, lowering the brows if appropriate, and laser resurfacing for skin texture and mild excess. You should consult a surgeon with substantial experience in complex eyelid revisions, as the procedures need to be carefully staged and individualized.

Hi 3208lips. I am sorry. Being unhappy with how your eyes look is genuinely distressing, and the fact that it is affecting your mood matters as much to me as the anatomy does. Please do speak to your GP about how you are feeling, alongside sorting out the surgical question.

On the surgery itself, a year is a helpful landmark. Tissues have usually settled by now, so what you are seeing is likely to be close to the final result rather than swelling, and that means it can be assessed properly and planned for.

When an upper lid, lower lid, ptosis repair and brow lift have all been done together, an unsatisfactory result is usually a matter of balance rather than one single error. Brow height, lid crease position, how much skin was taken, lid margin position and symmetry all interact. Revision work is about identifying which of those elements is off and correcting only that, not redoing everything.

I was not in the room for your operation and I would not comment on the care you had. What I can tell you is that revision eyelid surgery is possible in careful hands, though it is more nuanced than a first operation and the goal is improvement rather than a rewind.

Please see an oculoplastic trained surgeon in person, with your pre operative photographs. That examination is the only honest way to tell you what your options actually are.
