Hi! I recently had liposuction on my back and flanks that has left me with an extremely uneven front profile. I am feeling a little botched and am wondering if there's a way to correct this? I feel like even if I get rid of the fat pocket on the left, I will still look even with no curves on one side of my body....help!!

Answer: Liposuction You need an examination to see where any excess fat is still present. Your photos are not clear enough to tell.

Answer: Liposuction results To assess the outcome of a procedure we need to see standard before and after pictures. I suggest posting before and after pictures your provider took so we can get an idea of what you look like standing in a neutral position with both arms in the same position. Contour can be related to how the skin drapes, underlying musculoskeletal structure and fat distribution. It’s a little simplistic to answer your question based on just the pictures. It looks like your treatment was not particularly aggressive and that’s typically a good thing when it comes to doing revision work. It’s much more difficult to correct problems if too much fat was removed. I typically treat the torso as a single anatomic unit and avoid spot treating any one part of the torso. I either treat all of it or I don’t trade it for most patients. I suggest you follow up with your provider. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
