How long should you sit on a boppy pillow for after a BBL surgery?

My patients use the boppy pillow for 2-3 weeks.  Sit upright when going to the bathroom.  Walking is encouraged after liposuction.  Review with your Surgeons your Post op instructions.  Best wishes

Each doctor has their own protocol. It is very important that you talk to him about your concerns and goals. I recommend my patients not to sit for more than 30 mins. every two hours, for the first 2 weeks, and always with the help of a boppy pillow. If you have any concerns, I suggest you follow up close with your plastic surgeon.

What is important, is to use something that will keep your weight off the area of fat transfer and place it on the back of the thighs while you are in the sitting position.  A memory foam pillow or any other type of pillow can be useful for this purpose. I recommend that my patients do this for at least 8 weeks post op. Walking after the procedure is fine, but will not impact on the revascularization, for or against, of the fat grafts other than keeping the pressure off the area of grafting. Having said that, each surgeon has their own style in the post operative management of the patient. I would therefore recommend you discuss this with your chosen surgeon or at the time of initial consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon of your choosing. I hope this helps. Best of luck.

I prefer that patients do not sit on their buttocks for at least 2-3 weeks after surgery.  Best to always speak to your surgeon.
