Is it okay to have a rhinoplasty 1 month post tooth extraction and bone graft?

As far as I can understand from your question It’s best to wait until any dental infection is fully resolved before surgery. Since you’re having an extraction and bone graft for an infected tooth, your body will need time to heal and reduce infection risk. recommend at least 6–8 weeks after extraction and confirmation that there’s no active infection. Discuss timing with both your dentist and rhinoplasty surgeon to ensure safety.

In most cases, having rhinoplasty one month after a tooth extraction and bone graft is safe, provided that: • Your oral surgical site is healing well • There are no signs of infection or ongoing inflammation • Your oral surgeon or dentist has cleared you for elective procedures
The main concern is that both surgeries involve anatomically close regions — especially if the extraction and graft were in the upper jaw or near the sinus. We want to ensure that any residual swelling, healing tissue, or risk of infection won’t interfere with your nasal surgery or increase your recovery risks.
At Lone Star Plastic Surgery, I typically coordinate with your dental or oral surgery provider if you’ve had recent work done. If you’ve healed appropriately and have medical clearance, rhinoplasty a month later is usually not a problem.
