I'm using retinol from 3 months and now i made my first Ematrix treatment for shallow scars ,but I didn't stop using retinol before the treatment & i read now that I should avoid retinol/retinoid creams 1weeks prior to an ematrix treatment. Im so afraid It will make a problem to my face ?? Also i was made moderate chemical peeling with jessner solution for pours but that for that i get shallow scars.

Retinoids can help stimulate collagen and helps exfoliate the skin. Although retinoids are useful adjuncts, they may cause hypersensitivity of the skin during RF treatments. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles

I recommend that patients stop Retin-A or retinoid products for 3 months before sublative or ablative procedures.

This is just a company warning. I tell my patients to stop using Retinol - Vitamin A creams several days before, but stopping  the night before is fine. This is to ensure that the upper layers of your skin is intact and you do not have skin irritation when eMatrix is performed.
