I am 22 years old. I had braces for 3 years from 15-18; because I have larger teeth and smaller jaw I had two of my top teeth removed and my jaw was shifted with rubber bands to close the gaps and align my teeth to the center. 5 years later, didn’t wear my retainers, and I am considering getting jaw surgery because I have a horizontal overbite and cracking/popping when I chew, however would jaw surgery prevent my chin from being so pointy? If not, what is the best remedy?
