Hello, I have made upper lids blepharoplasty. The inside stitch was done with dissolving threads and outside with non dissolving, which were removed after 4 days. After 10 days the inner dissolving threads appeared in two places of a slightly opened scar and were partly removed by doctor.I have noticed that the threads were clearly showing up in other places too like small bumps. The doctor assured that they will be gone after month or so.Shall I wait or insist to remove them? Thank you.

Answer: Dissolving sutures after upper blepharoplasty
Based on your photos, you would likely be a good candidate for an upper blepharoplasty. The goal of surgery would be to help give you a more defined upper eyelid crease and take away some of the heaviness of the upper eyelid while maintaining a very natural look. In younger patients like you,...
At this point, you are not looking at your final result. Please give yourself time to heal. If this issue persists, have your eyelids evaluated by your surgeon at the next postop visit.
I like Aquaphor Healing Ointment but you should consult your surgeon, everyone has their own preference. Usually after a week or two I tell my patients to go back to their regular facial moisturizer and they don't have to use anything special.
