How soon can I repeat PDO thread lift ?

Based on information that we, as a board certified plastic surgeons have available, results of lift with treads are temporary and prone to multiple complications. It is frequent to see unhappy patient coming for removal of treads and correction of deformity in a more predictable way, by means of real surgery. It is overall impression in plastic surgery community, that tread lifts are far overrated, have very limited use and short durability. Good luck.

In general, the results from thread lifting has been less than acceptable for most patients. You can repeat this procedure anytime, but you might want to consider a different procedure rather than experience more disappointment. Both PDO and PLAA threads have not lived up to their expectations. In addition, the results from PDO threads is temporary and only lasts 6 months.    

If you are unhappy with the results of your thread lift you can have more threads placed immediately.  Having said that, I would re evaluate the effectiveness of the thread lift, are the changes that you are hoping to see to the appearance of your face achievable with at thread lift, are there other alternatives to the thread lift, and who is performing your thread lift. 

Threads can be added at any time. You would want to wait until swelling and bruising have resolved. A followup appointment may be needed to sort that out. I have many patients who benefit from a combination of threads and fillers that often are addressing separate issues. 

Usually you would want to wait until the threads completely dissolve to see the final result but you can certainly have more placed sooner once any swelling has gone down

You can do more threads at anytime. In reality it is best to wait until all the swelling and bruising are gone before doing more threads. The lumps and deeper nasal folds may just be the result of swelling.  I would go back and have the everything checked out.   Threads are a wonderful addition to minimally invasive facial enhancements. Most complications are technique dependent and relatively easy to resolve.

Hi Phillymay,At only 4 weeks post treatment, you may still have some swelling along the track of the thread, which can give the impression that the folds you have are deeper. Please allow 2-3 more weeks of recovery.
