I am from the time when parents only put Zinc Oxide on our noses before spending a day in the San Diego sun. I am covered in spots and freckles that occasionally turn out to be naughty! What laser and or peel goes deep enough to remove them? My décolleté is my main concern.

Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis. We see atrophic and hypertrophic scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. The upper chest region or decollete (decolletage), similar to the neck, is an area more prone to scarring if treated aggressively, such as with lasers and medium to deep peels. On the other hand, a series of superficial peels can much more safely accomplish the evening out of pigmentation, lightening of freckles and lentigines, and even suppress the formation of or treat early actinic keratoses (sun-damage-related premalignancies). Superficial peeling agents include glycolic or salicylic acid in maximal concentrations, Jessner's solution, or low strengths of TCA. You would be wise to consult with an experienced board certified cosmetic dermatologist who can not only treat the aesthetic issues, but check to be sure that no "naughty" brown spots escape appropriate treatment.
