The cartilages of the nasal tip are secured in place with their overlying perichondrium. Much force would be required to displace the nasal cartilages from their anatomic position.
There may be a degree of inflammatory swelling (if the manipulation was vigorous)...
This can be used to treat rhinophyma which is a chronic skin condition that causes the nasal tip skin to become bulky and deformed. For normal skin that is thick, this may not be recommended.
