Im 27 and have noticed I have fine frown lines, they're mostly visible in the sunlight. I don't want botox as I want a more permanent fix. Will laser remove them?
Answer: CO2 is great for resurfacing the skin and improving appearance of fine lines. Fractional CO2 laser is an excellent tool for skin rejuvenation in our center in Santa Monica. We use the fractional multi-depth ablative approach to help resurface the skin, recontour acne scars, improve incisional plastic surgery scars, and reduce surface irregularities from skin tone to dark pigmentation. Our approach utilizes a multi-depth approach that targets melanocytes in the epidermis and collagen fibroblasts in the dermis. This approach can be combined with a TCA Peel in a process known as a sapphire peel. Fractional laser is excellent for acne scars and contour scars in the skin. Patients are advised to undergo skin protocols with Melarase creams before and after treatment to help reduce pigmentation. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. After the laser, we expect redness for a few weeks as the skin improves. PRP and Hydrafacial enzyme facials can further improve skin quality after fractional co2. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Glabellar Lines / 11s / Frown Lines -- Neuromodulators (Botox/Dysport/Xeomin/Jeuveau), Fillers, Lasers, Microneedling/PRP "For glabellar lines (or frown lines / ""11"" lines), we inject Botox, Xeomin, or Dysport into the muscle, causing the muscle to weaken and improving the appearance of the lines. These work by binding to receptors that send nerve signals for muscles to contract. Since your body makes new receptors and neurotransmitters all the time, it needs to be maintained otherwise the wrinkles will slowly return as the muscle regains function over time. Neurotoxins take 2 to 4 weeks to start working and lasts for up to 6 months. For deeper glabella lines or strong 11s, I use a combination of Botox with fillers, lasers and microneedling with PRP. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist and expert in lasers and fillers. Best, Dr. Emer "

Answer: Can I Remove Fine Frown Lines with Laser? It sounds like you would benefit best from Botox or Dysport to treat the frown lines. You could have a Fraxel laser done which may help with resurfacing of the area as well.

Answer: At age 27, I would recommend botox then fraxel
I think you would likely get the most benefit from first treating the area with botox and allowing the muscles to relax for a few weeks. Then you could have a Fraxel or other similar fractionated laser skin resurfacing treatment done to help reduce the wrinkles. But at your age, it is more important to not smoke and wear your sunscreen than really anything else.
