I suffer from chronic unremitting pain on my nasal bone crest, probably the result of rhinoplasty long ago which shaved off my nasal bone. My dr believes the pain is due to the nasal periosteum. He proposes to surgically selectively cut out the nasal periosteum in the flattened pain region of my nasal bone, then put alloderm on top of the exposed bone. I cannot find a similar case in the literature. Will the periosteum removal affect the health of the remaining tissue? comments, ideas appreciated
