Small bump at tip of nose where lateral and medial crura meet, is this damage?

Question

I have a bump between the medial and lateral crura on the right side that feels like its on the cartilage. It feel like a small ball. If I touch it, it kind of throbs and feels a little swollen. I fell into a habit of pushing my nose tip upwards and was wondering if I did it too hard could it damage the cartilage, and what is the treatment? If I touch the nose on both sides at the tip I only feel the bump on the right side.

It's difficult to give you exact advice without seeing you in person. It could be inflammatory from the constant pressure of touching it, or could be a skin or soft tissue lesion that needs a biopsy. You should make an appointment to see a plastic surgeon or ent physician. Good Luck

You will need an examination to determine if the ball is secondary to the underlying cartilage as you suggest or is cause by some lesion within the skin or soft tissue. It probably will take a small limited procedure to correct.
