I am very cautious of my weight and i really want to do a juice fast right after my cast will be removed. I want to do the fast for about 1 month. Im just wondering if it will interfere with my healing process? Will it cause swelling? Ill be juicing veggies and fruits. Please let me know what will happen if i were to perform the fast. Thank you :) I am 16 years old btw, if that matters.
Answer: Juice fast I would avoid any special diets that restrict your normal intake while you are healing. Best of luck with your decision to move forward with your rhinoplasty.

Answer: Wound healing At 1 week after rhinoplasty you are still in the early stages of healing. While the best rhinoplasty surgeons can produce a near perfect nose on the table, the final outcome of a rhinoplasty has a great deal to do with how well the patient heals. I would strongly recommend against a fast during this initial period of healing. You need a good balance of protein, carbs and fats with vitamins to allow your body to use what it needs to heal the tissues that were manipulated during surgery. I would not recommend starting a diet like this for at least the first 3 weeks. Beyond that time frame you can diet, but exercise and limiting calorie intake is more effective and healthier than a juice fast. Speak with your surgeon about your plans.
