For scars, I close all of my incisions in 5 layers and do not use absorbable sutures because they cause inflammation and worse scarring. I tape all of my incisions in the office visits once a week for six weeks after surgery to improve the appearance. After taping, I start my patients on a scar gel therapy for 3 months that they have to put on their incisions twice daily.

I understand you are concerned with the appearance of your scars. Early in the healing process, the scars can appear red and raised. As your scars heal, it should flatten out. Always follow your surgeon's post operative care instructions when it comes to scar management to avoid any complications like infection and for faster healing and recovery.

If you are concerned, you should visit your plastic surgeon for assessment. and to discuss your concerns, as different surgeons have different approaches in scar management.

During the early stages of scar healing, it is normal for scars to appear red and raised. As they continue to heal, they will begin to fade and flatten. Nipple hypersensitivity is also reasonable at this point after your procedure and will likely return to your baseline nipple sensation as the swelling and nerve irritation subsides. Continue to check in with your plastic surgeon regularly to monitor your progress, and be patient as you heal.

You are still early on healing process. Right now you might have one breast bigger than the other, feel swollen and also have bruises, and can happen for the first 3 to 4 months, until your implants have dropped and settle in. What you are experiencing is normal.
Please, be patient, but if the situation doesn't improve over time, I suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon.
