Thank you for sharing your excellent question.  In general the pain is likely a bit worse than a myomectomy with most patients describing it as closer to a c-section recovery.  There are methods to improve upon your discomfort with pain pumps or Exparel medication placed at the time of surgery so be sure to discuss this with your surgeon.

Thank you foso your question. I have had many patients compare a tummy tuck to gynecological procedures. However, we utilize experel Which is placed under ultrasound guidance in order to block the nerves going to the muscles that have been tightented. This significantly improves the patient's recovery as the anesthetic stays around for 3 days.

The pain following a TT usually comes when the muscles are plicated ot tightened and the use of Exparel post op into the muscle sheath prior to closing will go along way to lessen the pain.Good product.
