How do I know if my internal sutures are torn?

Asked By:koncerned in Chesapeake, VA

I’m 6 weeks out. My doctor told me to do 15 individual leg lifts and work up to bilateral leg lift. I was doing individual pretty easily so I attempted both legs. That went good so I did two more bilateral lifts. About two hours later I felt like I was two days post op instead of 6 weeks. Today I feel even worse. Coughing and deep breaths hurt. Slightly swollen a very tender to touch. Called nurse she said was normal. Should I be concerned?
