How long after a breast biopsy will I have to wait to get a breast augmentation?

Mammograms are commonly used to screen patients prior to breast surgery.Occasionally, a lesion, mass or suspicious area is incidentally found and needs to be evaluated prior to surgery.I would wait until your pathology results have returned and discussed with your surgeon before planning your breast augmentation.Good luck.

You should wait for the histological diagnosis.  The diagnosis will dictate when the augmentation can be done.  With benign lesions it can be done any time after the biopsy.  If it is not benign other procedures may be necessary before the breast augmentation.  If from the mammogram or needle biopsy the lesion is benign and is readily identified and accessible the biopsy could be done at the same time as the augmentation.
