It is possible (recommended) to combine liposuction and cryolipolysis?

Thank you for your question. I believe you will be disappointed with cryolipolysis.  Liposuction is not a weight loss treatment.  Best results for liposuction is contouring, not debulking.  Consult with a board certified physician that can place you on a weight loss program.  Best Wishes. 

I would not suggest this combo procedure.  I understand the thought process (hitting the areas with the maximum power available).  However, I just do not see how this would work well.  In the future, studies may be performed showing a benefit here.  For now, I would suggest one then the other.  In my practice, I would be liposuction (laser assisted, ultrasound assisted, power assisted, etc) first.  After 6 months, I would consider CoolSculpting as a secondary treatment as needed (I actually had this sequence myself a few yrs ago).

It may be possible to combine these procedures however I wouldn't recommend it. Liposuction is much more effective in removing fat and improving contour and shape. If you're going to have liposuction and I'm not sure that you would require any cryo- lipolysis. Based on your weight I would recommend that you perhaps consider seeing a dietitian and getting on a good diet and exercise regimen. This would probably be more effective than liposuction at this point in time. Best wishes!

Liposuction and CoolSculpting can be complimentary procedures.  However, it would be ususual for one to plan to do both procedures together.  Liposuction is more effective at fat removal and therefore would obviate the need for CoolSculpting.  Both procedures are going to be most effective for patients with a BMI of less than 30; occasionally patients with a BMI of 30-35 can feel as though they got improvement with liposuction.
