I decided to start a journal of my experience so here I will update as I go along with the process. Thus far I gave Dr. Gorin's office a call and they got me in fairly quick for my first consultation. At first it wasn't until the end of February but then they text me and asked if I could come in the following week to which I replied, "HECK YES." Some back story here - When I was 19, I adored shows like "Girl Next Door" (show about Hugh Hefner's girlfriends) and a popular magazine featuring very attractive women with tattoos called "Suicide Girls" I knew at 19 years old I wanted to be a big breasted woman and currently I had stood still at a small B, maybe big A cup. I had the augmentation surgery date scheduled, my boob sized picked out and paid for and then BAM... Life hit me and said ya, we aren't ready for this yet with a positive pregnancy test and a baby boy on the way. I put myself on the shelf for a later time. I cancelled the appointment and had my son Kaidan who is now 16 years old. After him a short 4 years later I had my daughter Ameliya who is now 12 years old. Consult day came and I met Dr. Gorin who is a ball of energy and so full of life. The aura he gives off is just pure kindness. He never makes you feel like you are another set of boobs, or surgery. He takes his time. I brought my daughter to the consult, and he kept her engaged the entire time as well. As I tried on the different sized silicone implants, he took pictures of me with each size and profile so that I could look at them over the next few weeks before surgery. He was so informative and even asked me if I had other consults set up and encouraged me to look around. ((Little did he know I researched like crazy and had already selected him with no need to shop around.)) After the consult I found out there is a second consult where you come in and they go over things a bit more and you go through the sizing of your implants again to solidify the outcome and get an idea of what you're looking for. My 1st consult was scheduled Feb 6th - (this is when you put 10% down which was $1250 for me since I am getting a breast augmentation and lift.) My 2nd consult is scheduled Feb 20th (requires two weeks prior to surgery this is when you pay the rest of the bill which for me is $11250, the total surgery is $12500.) Surgery is scheduled for March 4th at 0800 and I am so excited. I will keep this here as a running journal for my experience. I am hopeful I help someone else and give them as much information as I was looking for when first starting to research this procedure and this doctor.
I recently had the opportunity to consult with several providers regarding my surgical needs, and I want to emphasize that my experience with Dr. Gorin was exceptional. From the moment I stepped into his office to my post-operative appointment, every aspect of my experience was perfect. Dr. Gorin's professionalism and attentiveness stood out. He made me feel comfortable and took the time to answer all my questions thoroughly. He ensured I understood the procedure, including its pros, cons, and potential complications. His insightful recommendations significantly contributed to my satisfaction with the outcome of my surgery. I highly recommend scheduling a consultation with Dr. Gorin if you are considering surgery. His expertise and dedication truly set him apart. Thank you, Dr. Gorin. Youi truly changed my life! ~Carol
Dr. Gorin and his staff were incredibly kind and knowledgeable. The office is very clean. Dr. Gorin makes you feel very comfortable and is an amazing surgeon! I couldn’t be happier with my results. I would definitely recommend his office for any procedure.
After doing extensive research for breast augmentation I came across Dr Gorin and I am so glad I did. After having my first consultation I knew he was the Dr I wanted to put my trust in. I was extremely nervous considering this was my first surgery, He listened to my concerns and goals and went into detail about the entire process. You can tell that dr gorin and his team truly care about the patients and the art behind it all. My results are better than I could have imagined and I’m so grateful to have gone here. I appreciated that after the procedure Dr. Gorin took the time to text me and my partner to make sure everything was going smoothly and was there for me if I were to have any concerns. 10/10 recommend!!
At age 60 I decided to have a tummy tuck; after reading countless reviews and pouring over a multitude of "before and after" pics, I made an appointment with Dr Gorin, and ultimately went through with the procedure. Dr Gorin is a great surgeon as well as an artist; the results were everything I could have hoped for! If you're on the fence about a tummy tuck, and if you're not sure where to start, I highly recommend scheduling a consultation with Dr Gorin. You won't be pressured, you'll get all your questions answered and you'll be given realistic expectations. If you decide to have the surgery, it could be just what you need to transform your life!
Dr. Gorin, is absolutely one of the best plastic surgeons in the northwest! I had been wanting a tummy tuck for over 15 years and I finally scheduled with him at the end of 2022. I really couldn’t wait for my surgical date to arrive It was the best decision I have ever made, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results.
I had a lipo of the abdomen, love handles and back area and had it injected into my buttocks and it turned out so great! I absolutely love my results and I highly recommend this procedure and Dr. Gorin to anyone who is contemplating it! I’ve always been insecure about my backside and my tummy and I can’t tell you how much it’s boosted my confidence. It’s been so fun shopping for new clothes and trying things I would have never worn before. I had my surgery on 10/20/22 and I went back to work 10 days later. The pain was super manageable, and the worst part is just like most people say… not being able to sit on hard surfaces for 6 weeks. If you’re not planning on telling people that really requires some planning! Luckily I work in aesthetics so everyone around me knew and my donut pillow went everywhere I did. Dr. Gorin has excellent bedside manner and truly cares for his patients. Safety is his number one concern and he stays above the muscle when injecting in the buttocks which is so important. Some of the fat definitely doesn’t take and deflates as you heal, but I had proper expectations and I’m still so happy! Be prepared that you may need two sessions, and that’s completely normal. Thank you Dr. Gorin and team, I’m so glad I chose your practice! Updated on 20 Jun 2023: Went back for a second round and wow! I’m on day 6 of healing and I love it. First photo was the morning before round 2, the second photo was 3 days post op, and the third photo is 4 days post op. I have so much less bruising this time and the recovery feels easier overall. I think that’s a combination of knowing what to expect and proper pain management. He really slimmed out my back and added projection to my hip dips, which was exactly what I wanted. Thank you, Dr. Gorin, you’re the absolute best!!!
Dr.Gorin and his staff are amazing! I’ve had 2 surgeries and numerous other procedures. His before and after care is the best around. He was available to me for any questions or concerns at all hours. Even answering my post surgery questions while on vacation with his family! I’ve known him and his staff for over 10 years and have referred many people to him. He’s simply the best!
After much research, and three different consultations, I decided to go with docto Gorin. He’s been really great. Today was my surgery. I guess it went off without a hitch. Went in at eight, peed in a cup, got undressed(except for my bra and underwear), put compression socks, then headed out to get drawn on and pictures by dr Gorin. Then, I laid down, the anesthesiologist came, asked me some questions, started the iv and that’s all I remember until 1:30 or so. It was tough getting in the car. (I don’t them my legs were working very well yet) and am now sitting in a recliner coming in and out of focus. I type, then fall asleep in the middle, then back at it, then asleep again. Need to get up and walk soon. I will posts before pictures once I have some after pictures to share. Updated on 2 Dec 2022: So far, so good! Not in too much pain. I think the most uncomfortable part is the catheter. Tried walking every hour. Slept ok in the recliner. Not that easy getting in and out of the recliner. We bought an electric stand up recliner on Craigslist. It’s still a little difficult to get in and out of it. Going in for a post op in a couple of hours. Will update again soon. Updated on 3 Dec 2022: Had my one day post op with Dr Gorin yesterday. All looks good. Got catheter taken out. That’s kind of nice, but it was also nice to not have to run to the bathroom all the time. I’m trying to keep myself really hydrated. Almost passed out trying to get to the bathroom. Broke out in a sweat and felt horrible. Didn’t realize I was about to pass out, but when explaining it to Dr Gorin he said I probably was headed towards passing out. Whoops. Had no idea. I didn’t know what the problem was. Pain is not horrible. It’s fine while sitting, but more uncomfortable when I stand up to walk. Days are going slowly. Can’t wait to get these drains out. Updated on 8 Dec 2022: Can’t wait to get these drains removed and these compression leggings off! They are both inconvenient and uncomfortable. Maybe the worst part of the process! Pain hasn’t really been that big of an issue. Have been on Tylenol only three times a day since yesterday. I’ve been feeling like I’m 4,000 lbs trying to move around the house. Just walking to my bedroom and back I am winded. Today I am feeling lighter and was able to cook myself breakfast and go downstairs and back without feeling too out of shape. Updated on 12 Dec 2022: Finally got my drains removed this morning! Have no restrictions for sleeping now. Yay! I Had no idea what I was getting myself into when I signed up for this. Started feeling more myself about three days ago and slowly getting better every day. Still not walking all the way upright. Dr Gorin and his staff have been awesome! Always right on time or early with my appointments, and ALWAYS quick to respond if I needed anything. Updated on 13 Nov 2023: Well, I’m 11 months post op and friends ask me if I would do it again…I think so? The recovery was BRUTAL!!! I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I work out 4-6 times a week and eat mostly healthy, so thought it would be a quick recovery. Not so! I couldn’t even stand up straight for 4 weeks! I was not expecting that at all! The liposuction was the most painful part. It felt like I had an elephant hanging off of each side of where the lipo had been done. That lasted way longer than expected . I’m still a little numb along the scar in some places, and I have a fold on my right side from the surgery that I guess is here to stay. I wish it wasn’t there, but It’s way better than the apron I had before. What I will say is that the difference it made was equal to the brutality and recovery of the procedure. I will also say that aside from the fold on my right side, I’m happy with the results.
Dr. Gorin is seriously THE BEST surgeon out there. It’s tough to find a surgeon who does great work, has great bedside manor and is reasonably priced, and he has it all! His office staff is also very friendly and helpful. My results were better than I could have imagined!
I generally suggest waiting 2-3 weeks before returning to work where you would be sitting most of the time. And, when you do return, I always suggest using something to 'off load' the butt. For my practice, I like to suggest one, or possibly, two memory pillows. Keep in mind, the recovery is not just from the transfer of the fat to the butt. It is also related to how much liposuction has been performed. Best thing to do is consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to see what your options are.
A true synmastia would have the skin of the sternum lifted off to varying degrees. I do not see that in your case. However, as you have seen, there can be substantial changes after having babies. My suggestion would be to wait until all the babies are done with breast feeding. At that point you would then consider a revision with implants behind the muscle. This can help minimize the synmastia appearance as well as the rippling.
Unfortunately, in my opinion, you would need not just a little more fat, but, a large amount of addn'l fat to make enough of a difference for the BBL. Some surgeons advocate weight gain prior to BBL. My concern there is what happens to the fat cells that survive the transfer from the waist to the butt when you were to lose weight? In general, the volume in the butt would subside with further weight loss. If we can ever start using 'donor fat' from others we would then have great options for women with your anatomy. Until then, I think you are best avoiding the BBL unless your surgeon can show you before and afters of women with anatomy similar to yours.
The costs of a BBL are highly dependent on the volume of liposuction planned. In general, in this area, we simply add a certain amount for the actual fat transfer to the cost of liposuction. Range in total would be $7000-$12000.
I would say that returning to work at 1 week is definitely possible as long as you are not using your upper body at work. As for keeping it a secret, that is definitely possible depending on the implant size as well as the clothes you wear.
