Asymmetry / swelling after lipo on my love handles an flanks

Question

So I got lipo on March 18, my left love handle looks smaller than my right. Both love handles still feel swollen, will my right side get smaller still? Last question. I noticed that on my lower an close to the butt I have I want to say small/medium lump it doesn't hurt or anything. Is that a bruise or its still swollen an I just can't feel it. Thanks. An how long will I be swollen on my sides for. Thanks you.

It your stage of convalescence there is still swelling which may very well be asymmetric. There is no reason to worry about this until the swelling is totally resolved. This will take a number of months.

Thank you for your question.It is difficult to give you precise answers without an examination.Swelling can last up to 4-6 months.If you have concerns, I recommend that you visit with your surgeon to have an examination as he/she has your best interest in mind.I hope this helps.

Thank you for your question. It can take several months for the swelling to resolve after liposuction. Also, the small lump may be some scar tissue that you are feeling. Continue to wear your postoperative garment if you were given one, this can help with the swelling. I would discuss your concerns with your surgeon. Good luck.
