Follow up: Hole at T junction 2 weeks post lift and implants. What are the chances of me having to remove the implant? (photos)

Question

I had an uplift (anchor incisions) with implants. I am 2 weeks post op and I have developed this small hole at the T junction. Everywhere else is healing well. I have been given antibiotics and advised to keep it clean and wait for it to heal by my surgeon. He doesn't seem concerned and said it should heal itself. However, I am very scared and anxious because I know that if the implant becomes visible then I will have to have it removed.

If the implants are not exposed, then likely local wound care will heal it up. If the implant is exposed, then the implant more than likely will need to come out.

Although I understand your concerns, online consultants will not be much specific help to you.  Much will depend on how much tissue exists between the underlying  breast implants and the incision line opening.  Your plastic surgeon knows the answer to this question and is therefore in the best position to provide you with meaningful information, predictions, and (hopefully) reassurance. Continue close follow-up with him/her: I suggest that you focus on good nutritional support and minimizing activities (such as excessive arm movement) that can potentially delay healing.Best wishes.
