Breast implants are sized according to their volume in cubic centimeters (cc). How do you know what size implant to choose? Looking at pictures and talking to friends who had a breast augmentation might help.Off course the volume will depend on the shape and size of your actual breasts, your frame and the size you want to achieve. Our plastic surgeon will advise you thoroughly. Bringing pictures of a desired restult to be shown to our surgeon, might be very helpful.
Dear lynnnick, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Thank you for your question. It is difficult to give you an accurate answer without pictures. To determine if you are a candidate for a breast augmentation depends on several factors. Most importantly is your tissue quality and you chest wall dimensions. If both are these are are appropriate you can be candidate for a breast augmentation that can achieve your results. If you skin quality is poor and nipple position is inadequate you may need a lift with an augmentation. The best way to determine what is possible is with a consultations. During your consultation we review all your options and also put you on the Vectra 3D imaging systems so you can see what yo will look like with the implants we decided on. Hope this helpsAs always seek a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery!!
I recommend an in person evaluation by a plastic surgeon to be measured and discuss your goals. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size breast implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what is right for them. Hello, thank you for your question. It is hard to tell without proper photos and a physical examination. I recommend you to schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.
From an A to a DDD is probably not possible in one surgery, but a D to a DDD probably is. You need an in person consult to be measured and try on sizers to see what you want. You also need to consider the effects of gravity on a DDD long term. Good luck.
Thank you for sharing your question. In general, yes it should be possible to accomplish this but a thorough discussion and in-person examination is required to give you the best advice.
You did not post photos or give any measurements so I cannot be specific. Not all women can carry nor should carry DDD. I am not really certain why you want to carry such heavy weight. However, go to a board certified plastic surgeon, be examined and measured to see if you have enough tissue and large enough frame to support mammoth tattas.
