Hello. What's the ratio between glabella complex (GC) and frontalis? I've read that GC needs more unit of botox than Frontalis to prevent eyebrows heaviness? For example: if a man ( 35 y.o) doesn't have GC wrinkles, he gets 15 units of Botox to frontalis, so, how many units does he need to GC? Thank you
Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Forehead and Glabella Neuromodulators Hello, hope you are well. There's no perfect ratio (and no one has every asked me that question), but it would be close to 1:1. A typical starting range for the procerus and corrugators is around 10-15 units, and similarly 10-15 units for the frontalis. Usually on the higher end for men because the muscles are stronger. Because everyone is different (including how they and their individual muscle groups respond to neuromodulators), usually there is a little bit of a titration process that takes place before a typical pattern is established. Just like getting your hair cut--how often, how much--everyone is a bit different. The more you see your stylist, you'll know with more precision what works best. Best,Dr. Tower

Answer: Ratios When considering Botox there is not a "one size fits all". There are averages, or typical units for given areas, but it is important to consider each person as an individual including their anatomy and treatment goals. This is where your expert injector comes in. Your personal specialist can go over your concerns and advise what is best for you.

Answer: Botox Ratio Hi, thank you for your question! Botox is typically dosed as a 2:1 ratio for the glabellar and frontalis muscles. For males this ratio can be different as most male patients are not looking to have an arch in their brows. Male dosing can be a 1:1 ratio. Allergen the maker of botox suggest 64 units total for the whole upper face including the frontalis (20u), glabellar(20u), and crows feet(24u). Botox dosing is different for every patient based on your muscle movement.

Answer: Botox Dosing Hello, and thank you for your question! You are correct - when the frontalis muscles are relaxed they go down. When the glabellar muscles are relaxed they get lifted. You always want to place a higher number of units in the glabellar muscles. Hope this helps!
