Congrats on your weight loss, you look great! I can understand your frustration with areas resistant to a healthy lifestyle and exercise, especially after what you have achieved. Liposuction is a good option to further help you achieve your desired shape and based on your pictures, you seem to be a good candidate. The only way to know for sure, however, is with a full consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. Liposuction only takes care of subcutaneous fat, so if your problem is related more to skin laxity or visceral fat, liposuction alone is not the answer. There are some treatments that can help tighten the skin in conjunction with liposuction. As for fees, that's not a simple answer. In 2017 the average surgeon's fee for liposuction was almost $3500. But the amount of fat to be removed and the areas involved are cost factors which are assessed at the time of consultation. Also, there are anesthesia fees and facilities fees added onto the overall cost. Liposuction can be performed under local anesthetic which can lower the cost. I perform liposuction both ways, with sedation at a facility or under local in the office and both are good options. I hope this was helpful. Best of luck to you. Dr. Jaime Bastidas
