Hello, Radiesse provides structure and stimulates your own natural collagen to grow - it will definitely help with jawline contouring. When changing the facial structure its best to achieve your ideal weight before having fillers done. Best,Dr. Nima
Radiesse results last 12-18 months. You can have it to contour your jawline while you're losing weight. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
Radiesse is a great choice to strengthen and contour your jawline. Your photos demonstrate some weakness of the chin and prejowl area. Two vials of radiesse can fill in these areas giving you a stronger chin, stronger jawline and better facial balance. This is a great in office treatment with minimal downtime. Future weight loss will not effect the visible outcome as facial changes would be slow and gradual with the weigh loss and future injections could be adjusted according to deal with future changes.
A rapid weight loss always changes facial volume in highly predictable way. In general, injecting filler while actively losing way may not be a good idea. You will not lose your Radiesse but you will lose some of your natural facial filler - fat. Therefore, try to lose weight very slowly. Otherwise, your jawline may still look good but you will notice a typical "facial aging" due to volume loss in the upper face. Good luck!
Weight loss will not cause you to lose radiesse more quickly than normal and therefore it would not be wasteful to lose weight when you have used received radiesse injections. In fact, this can accentuate the contour added by the radiesse in the face. Hope this helps!Johnson C. Lee, MD Board-Certified Plastic SurgeonIG: @drjohnsonlee
Radiesse is a great tool for contouring the jawline and chin. It has good lift and often lasts more than a year in the lower face. Loosing weight would not affect the Radiesse; furthermore, you may get a more pronounced improvement in the jawline and chin by exploring options such as the fat-dissolving medicine Kybella, liposuction, and facial implants. Consult with a Plastic Surgeon or Facial Plastic Surgeon for a more specific and tailored evaluation. Good luck!
Hard to reliably predict the final facial outcome, as we all loose fat to varying degrees, in different areas. Firstly your Radiesse will remain. The volume you have achieved with this filler will not go, however you may loose facial fat from this area. Now, if jawline contouring is your priority, and the creation of new bone and or a better angle of your jaw is your objective, this will not be a waste of time, as facial fat does not equate to jawline/ bone contours. Thanks for your question and sorry that you are having this concern after your Radiesse injections. You cannot push on it to dissolve it – it doesn’t work that way. It is not common to have headaches from Radiesse so if it persists I would follow up with your provider to see what else may b...
Thank you for your question. You can resume your normal skincare regimen immediately after the injections. Please make sure you seek treatment from a board-certified dermatologist.
It would be hard for me to understand how a subcutaneous injection of Radiesse around the mouth could end up into the hard palate. As far as the small amount that's in your lip, this can easily be remedied with a needle and expelling of the material. Hope that's helpful.
