Is temporary slurred speech after Botox normal?

This occurance after Botox to the forehead would be very uncommon, and if it happens again it should be discussed thoroughly with your practioner. Especially if you've had this happen at any other times in your life, to make sure there isn't another underlying cause.Good luck,Dr. G

Temporary slurred speech is not normal after a Botox treatment to the forehead and I cannot imagine how Botox could have caused such an event.  Temporary slurred speech can be a sign of a TIA (transient ischemic attack), which is like a small stroke.  I would recommend seeing your primary care doctor to be evaluated.  

Goldendelicious15, sorry to hear this!I've never witnessed such an incident while injecting Botox, but I would encourage you to follow up with your injector as well as your primary care doctor as slurred speech can be indicative of a more serious issue.When injecting the depresser anguli oris muscles (the muscles the bring down the corners of the mouth), one possible side effect is affecting the muscles used to speak.
