Could I fracture my implant from trauma?

the implant screw itself is made of titanium and it's very strong. your bone will probably fracture before the implant itself does. but the crown that's sitting on top and the attachments to the implant can break in trauma. if you are having discomfort you should have it checked for sure.

Although it is not common, it is possible to fracture an implant. It is more common to fracture the screw that attaches the abutment to the implant, especially if it has become partially unscrewed. From your description of the trauma you experienced, it doesn't sound like anything fractured. It is possible to traumatize the implant. Avoid using the tooth for some time and get it followed up with a check up. An xray may be taken to ensure no bone damage.  No pain may indicate its just fine.
