My Dental Implant screw is broken again. Is there any other method to hold lower dentures tight?

I had dental implants many years ago. The screws kept breaking, I finally had the implants surgically removed.I needed a full lower denture was convinced to have two implants. Now one of the temporary screws broke tonight. I am just sick about this. I have a really strong bite, have had teeth problems all of my life due to my teeth grinding. Both the surgeon and the doctor are well respected. I know this is going to keep happening. Is there any other method to hold lower dentures tight?

There are many types of implant connectors and brands of implants.  Some hold up better than others.  When implants are overloaded things break down at the weakest point.There are numerous ways to use dental implants.  An over denture attachment like the locator is designed so that the easily replaceable cap wears and can be easily replaced for $50 dollars or less.  I would need more information on the type of implant, the restoration it is holding to really answer your question.You may find that an additional implant or two permanently corrects the issues.  You are unquestionably better off with implants because it prevents additional bone loss which leads to more problems.

As the other dentist mentioned, if things are overloaded, then they will break at their weakest point. I normally recommend 4 implants for the lower jaw, for this reason, there is less load per implant. You have also mentioned that you have a heavy bite, so the denture teeth should be made in a way to minimise the biting forces, and this is even more reason to have 4 implants, rather than just the two. The Masseter muscle is one of the strongest muscles on the body, and the pressure its going to be strong , no matter, if they are natural teeth or implants. My recommendation would be to analyze if your bone can receive at least 6 implants, so the support would be bigger and more efficient (You divide the pressure over 6 dental implants,this method is called All On 6), and the pressure would be distributed, through all of themthat way , i can assure you with a screw retained bar, titanium acrylic, you will still bite hard, but forces would be distributed, also night guards, are necessary . This is a 2 session treatment, hope this helps.
