Increasing asymmetry everywhere - is ptosis surgery the solution? (Photos)

I've noticed one of my eyes doesn't open as much as the other and is progressively getting worse, especially when I'm tired. The more I look at my face however it is not just the eye, there seems to be increasing asymmetry everywhere, even my smile. It is worth noting this appears to be genetic my mother, her sisters and my grandma all seem to have the same issue. I originally was planning on seeing a ophthalmologist for a blepharoplasty but now I'm not sure. What should I do?
