Lip line very hard after Restylane lip filler 4 days ago. (Photo)

Question

I had my lips filled with 1ml of restayline nearly 4 days ago. Most of the swelling has gone but my lip line is still very stiff and at points, difficult to move. Is this normal? I've also been left with a white line around my lip, will this go??

Thanks for posting your photo. I believe this is normal and will get better. We always have patients see us at 2 weeks to be sure all swelling is resolving nicely. Best wishes, Dr. ALDO

Thank you for your question. It is too early at 4 days post op to determine what your final results will be. It takes up to 2 weeks for all swelling and bruising to resolve to see your final results. If you still have concerns after this time please follow up with your injector. Best of Luck!

Thank you for your inquiry.  Normally, you should not evaluate your lips for 1-2 weeks post filler treatment. If you are still swollen after that, it is best to follow up with your injector.

4 days is not long enough to really determine what the final appearance will be so give it at least 2 weeks and if necessary then see your doctor
