Didn't know I was pregnant while getting Smart Lipo. What are the dangers?

It’s pretty standard in the United States to do pregnancy tests on all women of child bearing age before elective surgical procedures but Sweden has their own ways of doing things.
It’s unlikely the anesthetics had any major impact on the development of your child and having Liposuction will not interfere with a healthy pregnancy. pregnancies do not change fat distribution. Pregnancy related changes are typically temporary weight gain, abdominal skin laxity and muscle separation.
Pregnancy related changes are typically best treated with a full tummy tuck if they are severe enough to warrant treatment.
There’s nothing to do at this point and there are no dangers.

it is understandable that you are anxious. however the actual procedure, using a laser in the subcutaneous fat and liposuctioning out the fat, will have no side effects on the fetus. the laser light will not penetrate beyond a few mm in the subcutaneous fat and is certainly not going to enter the uterus. The local anesthetic that is used, is usually lidocaine with epinephrine and that is very unlikely to cause problems. Of course, as much as possible, one wants to avoid medication and alcohol etc during a pregnancy but there are lots of women who have had alcohol or medication or even general anesthesia for surgeries before they found out they were pregnant.

Although liposuction is not advisable during early pregnancy due to increased risk of fetal infection, allergic reaction, and rare potential birth defect, this risk is still extremely small. It would be wise to make your OB/GYN aware of the situation, allowing for closer monitoring throughout your pregnancy.
