I’m 42 and have noticed a severe loss of volume under my eyes. It has really destroyed my self-esteem and I am looking for a place in my area that would help me to correct this issue. What procedures would be best to help there’s lots of volume I am experiencing? I have also lost volume and my cheek area and noticed that when I purse my lips I have a lot of lines that also show at rest. I feel I look way older than what I actually am. Please somebody in the Portland area reach out. Thank you

Answer: Loss of volume Fillers are a great nonsurgical option to address loss of volume in the face. They can be used in the areas you mentioned to improve contours. You can consider adding Morpheus8 treatments to enhance your results. They combine RF technology with microneedling to improve overall skin tone and texture.

Answer: Loss of volume under the eyes Hi, under eye hollows are a very common but it is also an area that is the most commonly treated incorrectly. It is very difficult to get this area to look right using fillers. Because the skin is very thin, fillers can look bumpy and even the slightest reaction to the product can cause noticeable swelling that lasts for a long time. There is also the Tyndall effect where the light reflects off the product in such a way that there is a bluish tinge making it look like there is a persistent bruise. I like to use your own fat or a technique called PRF gel. These are autologous treatments that are much safer than fillers, and if done correctly, give you a very natural look and stimulate your own body's regenerative process causing it to look even better over time. My practice is on the east coast but Dr. Anil Rajani has an office in Portland and I would definitely recommend that you go see him.
